AbOuT SArAh GErOnImO

 Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo was born on July 25,1988 in Sta. Cruz, Manila to Delfin Geronimo, who ran a beauty parlor from the family home. She was the third of four children, and had two sisters and one brother. Sarah's first performance was in a mall show when she was 2 years old. At the age of 4, she made her first appearance in the national. Television and was a member of the children's television show of Pen-pen de sa rapen for 2 years. At 6, she performed at a short concert at Isetann cinema complex on Recto Avenue in manila. She sang for Pope John Paul II during his visit to the philippines in 1995, when she was eight. Also at the age of eight, her father enrolled Geronimo at the Center for Pop Music Philippines, where she received her first formal music and voice lessons. Sarah performed in hotel lounges, on campuses, in shopping malls, and on a few TV shows. Around this time, she was part of the cast of the ABS-CBN children's show Ang TV. At the age of 9, she joined the cast of the TV show Next. She also played a cameo role in Star Cinema's Sarah, Ang Munting Prisesa. In 2002, Sarah competed in the Star For A Night competition, hosted by Filipino pop singer Regine Velasquez. At the age of 14, Sarah won the competition, which included a 1 million cash prize and a managerial contract to Vicente Del Rosario, owner of Viva Artist Agency. She was given the title of Pop Star Pricess. Her mother said, "her cash prize in Star For a big help, this school year, we don't need to borrow money from other people because of my children's tuition fees." Sarah became the featured artist in MTV's Rising Star in September 2002, and she released her first album Popstar: A Dream Come True, in late 2002. Her first concerts, in conjunction with her first album, were staged in October 2003. Sarah's first movie role was in Filipinos, released in late 2003. According to the Philippine Star, Sarah's co-star in the film, Maricel Soriano, predicted a film, she's good maybr some people have high expectation on her but for me she's good! In 2004, Sarah became regular host and performer on the variety show Asap, which gave her, more fame and the opportunity to improve her singingand dancing skills. she also sang the Philippines National Anthem at the Preinaugural Cerenomies of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on June 30,2004. In Nov. 2004, Sarah released her second album. Sweet Sixteen, with How Could You say You Love me as its first single after a week of its released, the album was certified good, and quickly achieved triple platinum status when it sold more than 90,000 copies national Sarah Geronimo performed in the Night Of The Champions concert at the Araneta coliseum (The Dome) with other singing competition winners Rachelle Ann Go and Erik Santos, followed by a tour in the US. In 2005, Sarah recorded the theme song of the cinema movie, Can This Be Love she joined the fourth-season cast of the teen-oriented television program SCQ reload: kilig ako, and appeared in the Fantasy movie last Lasitkman, produced by Viva Films. she hosted three talent competitions, Search For Star In A Million, Little Big Star and Little Big Superstar on Sept. 30,2005. Sarah performed a solo concert, entitled The Other Side as the manila bulletin reported; the dome become one huge oven; Viva records released a live Dvd album of her concert at Araneta Coliseum entitle the Other Side: live album. In the summer of 2005, a repeat of Night of the Champions toured the Us for two months. In 2006, Sarah was cast in ABS-CBN's primetime soap opera, Bituin Walang Ningning, A remake of the  1985 movie.She played an aspiring singer named Dorina Pineda, the role originally played by Sharon Cuneta  in the summer of 2006, Sarah's third studio album. Becoming was released internationally. Produced by Christian  De Walden. The album went platinum a month after its release. Christian De Walden said that Sarah was definitely the biggest talent i have come across. The last ten years." She spent the rest of 2007 performing during concerts in the philippines and the US and recording her fourth studio album, Taking Flight, which sold more than 60,000 units and  achieved double platinum status in the fall of 2007, Sarah appeared in her third television series for Abs-cbn, Pangarap Na Bituin. In early 2008, Sarah reunited with Erik Santos, Rachelle Ann Go, and Christian Bautista in a Valentine day concert at the Araneta Coliseum, entitled Ol4Luv,"Sarah released the DVD in motion filmed  at the Araneta Coliseum, on Feb. 27, 2008. Before Sarah released her fifth studio album. she released I'll be there as the fourth single from Taking Flight on July 30, 2008, Sarah starred with filipino actor John lloyd Cruz in A Very special Love which was produced by star cinema and viva films and grossed  almost 180 million Sarah included a track from the movie," A Very Special Love," on her album Taking Flight. Sarah fifth studio album, Just Me, included a duet with Back street boys album Howie Dorough entitled, I'll be there," Christian de walden again produced this album. Like her previous album, Just Me achieved platinum status in December 2008. She was recognized forth is accomplishment on the 2008 platinum circle awards show. In Nov.8, 2008, Sarah staged her third major solo concert in Araneta Coliseum, entitled the next one, which marked the first time she accompanies herself on the Piano while on stage. Sarah's Just me album, was re-released adding You Changed My Life. She was also recognized by ASAP for attaining platinum status for her albums Taking Flight and Just Me and for her two concert DVD's ( The Other Side and Sarah In Motion). In Feb 2009, Sarah a deared with Cruz in You Changed My Life, The sequel of A Very Special Love the film total theatrical earning over 240 million, and hold the the Us in March April 2009 for the next one tour, where she received opposite reviews about her performances. In June 2009, she re-stager her successful Sarah was given The Next One Philippine concert tour. On August. 5, 2009 Sarah  was given the honor to sing the Virnalisa's 1986 People Power Anthem  "Magkaisa" during  the funeral of former president Corazon Aquino. Sarah  released her first solo Christmas album, Your Christmas Girl in October 2009. In the Araneta Coliseum, Record Breaker in the Araneta Coliseum the Philippines Daily Inquirer called. Filmed at the Araneta Coliseum, on March 16,2010 and eventually achieve Triple Platinum status in December 2010: Last September 6,2010 a Music Serye was aired in Abs-cbn entitled 1dol, which was Sarah''s tv rebirth after 3 years. But due to massive fan book lash against the show due to supposed rip-off of Glee, it only succeeded 35 episode last November 28,2010 Sarah released her first dvd compilation album entitled Sarah Geronimo Music Video collection. Dec. 1,2010 Myphone introduced its latest model the My Phone QP29 also know as the Sarah G Phone. It hold the distinction of being the first music album phone (MAP) produced in the country,containing 8 tracks exclusively recorded by Sarah herself in April 2010, Sarah Geronimo was chosen to endorse an online game called "Superstar" in which is launched by X-play as an online singing star search. Sarah also lent her voice in singing its theme song "This is my Dream". In September 2010 a music serye was aired in abs-cbn entitled 1dol and also dia a blockbuster movie with Judy Ann Santos entitled Hating Kapatid under Viva films. in 2011, she had a successful Valentine concert with Martin Nievera titled  "What Love Is" at  the Araneta coliseum.' also she worked with Gerald Anderson  for the first time in the film collartion of Star Cinema and Viva Films  titled Catch Me I'm in love which was shown on March 23,2011 in theater nation while and shown a summer release in the philippines. The movie is a certified box-office hit not only in the philippines but also abroad.




Sarah Geronimo's rise to fame is one of the most celebrated Cinderella stories in show business. Her modern day rags-to-riches tale continuously inspires thousands to dare to dream, to work hard, to keep believing and to never say never. Sarah Geronimo (Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo), the philippines talented and charming popstar princess, was born on July 25,1988 to Delfin Geronimo and Divina Geronimo.The third of four children, her siblings are Joanna Rizzie, Sunshine Grace and   Ezekiel Gabriel. Sarah grew up in a rented house in Sta. Cruz, Manila, living modestly a her father worked as a PLDT lineman and her mom kept a salon. At the very young age of 2, Sarah preciously demostrated a good sense of timing and vocal potential she could barely utter the words correctly but Delfin took notice of Sarah's innate penchant for singing. A couple of year later, it became apparent to the family how seriously she wanted to conquer the stage. While the of other girls were preoccupied with prized Barbie dolls, here were firmly crading a microphone. When Sarah was 6, she joined a singing contest sponsored by PLDT called Tuklas Talino. Singning in a concert for the first time, she performed The Greatest Performance Of My Life and won first prize. Nanette inventor, a prominent member of the entertaiment industry,was one of the judges. She was particularly  by Sarah's voice saying she did not expect that kind of voice to come from a very young child. That  victory was her first in a string of first place finishes in several singing contests sponsored by notable companies. While other kids spent their days on the playground Sarah was already determined to participate  in more talent shows. Divine would accompany her to auditions, and it was common for them to get a call back, but the offers were mostly for theless significant bit parts.Sarah because part of the Pen pen de sarapen cast. In a kiddie movie entitled Sarah, Ang Munting Prinsesa, she was cast for a supportive role,she also appeared in the 'tweeners' afternoon variety show  Ang TV on the ABS-CBN  network. Even at this early stage of her career, she already exhibited extra ordinary passion for her craft, and the traits associated with it wanting to improve, taking criticisms constructively, and always eager to learn. what she lacked in the glamour of her audition dresses to shoes, she more than made up with talent and determination to hone Sarah's skills, Delfin trained  her himself for several hours everyday mimicking the way Regine Velasquez was trained by her dad by having her sing while. Submerged neck-deep in the sea, Sarah trained in a make shift water barrel. But even with training and talent, she still couldn't seem to find that crack in the wall to break through when the family. Business went  bankrupt, they found it harder to sustain the smallest of loose. Change so they will have jeepney fare for the auditions any other individual with weaker resolve would have lost heart. Life was arduous, but the Sarah's bravery plowed on. In addition to her prowess on the stage, Sarah was a very diligent student at the Dominican School in Lacson avenue manila. After graduation from elementary school, Sarah continued secondary study at the University Of Santo Tomas Education High school. Her friends from High school considered her a class clown out of nowhere, she could erupt into a song or a joke,  that would send her friend laughing her zest for life and engaging, contagious smile easily won people over she also loves to draw and sketch, and is actually a book worm one of her favorite book characters was Harry Potter. On any given day. Sarah was just a teenager enjoying her youth. Apart from usual teenagers though, her concern for he family made her years wisher than her age. At one point in the Geronimo's Lives, they were was a sickness in the family, they were being driven out of their house because they could no longer pay  the rent, they don't have the tuition money to sustain their education and making ends meet simply became an impossible feat. Sarah for her part, wanted to help by joining a nation wide singing contest where million pesos us part of the grand other than Sarah's 1dol, Regine Velasquez. Sarah was determined to help with the finances using her god-given talents. The climb was not easy. Sarah could not picture herself winning the competition after observing the sheer. intensity of the other artists she was competition against. However, it was a different story when she stepped onstage and held the microphone. All her insecurities melted and she belted the Celine Dion song To Love You More. She was at the top of her came; in her element at that very moment when she flung her arms up in the air for the finale the judges saw in her a star-in-the-making. she won the grand prize of 1 million pesos and an exclusive 10-year contract with Viva entertainment group. Mr.Vicente del Rosario the revered "boss vic" of the industry, managed Sarah's career first hand. This was the big   break that she had been dreaming of when things settled down after memorable victory, Sarah took care of a few priorities first. She said off their family debt with the prize money. They had enough left over to pay the hospital bills and their tuition fees. They were able to afford  rent and were relieved  that they wouldn't be sleeping on the streets. By the time everything was settled there was no money left for luxury with no rest in mind, she deaded that it was time to work. Her motivation for work was not just for financial stability,but she wanted  to soar towards fulfilling her dreams. After winning as the grand champions of the Star For A Night talent show, Sarah started recording her first album; Sweet Sixteen (2004) was a certified 3 times platinum the highly anticipated "Becoming"(2006) album was released internationally, and reached platinum record just a month after its release. The success was followed by "Taking Flight" (2007) which was her second internationally released album. Included in this album is Sarah's collaboration with one of the backstreet boys members, Howie Dorough she's a big fan of BSB, so  when Howie D flews from the us to attend  the album lauch at the SM Mall Of Asia, Sarah was more than. Esctatic and grateful. Sarah's latest is "OPM" (2008) which showcased home grown songs from movies and tv, as well as her part albums. It is a certified platinum as well Sarah also signed a contract with Abs-cbn in 2004 and was immediately given her owns starring  tv series; "Sarah, The teen princess" (2004). With Abs-cbn's line up of weekly shows, Sarah was able to hone her acting  skills by guesting in several shows and "That''s My Doc," among others. Eventually, her next starring tv series was launched, "Bituing Walang ningning"(2006), was conceptualized, and Sarah delievered brillianily. The last teleserye seemed to have recommed that the time is right for Sarah to have her own movie. Although she's starred in supporting yet more defined roles in movies like "Lastikman"(2004), "Annie B"(2004), "Captain Barbell"(2003), and the star studded. "Filipinas"(2003), Sarah is yet to Star in her own debut film. The time has come when the script for "A Very Special Love"(2008) was written specifically with her in mind as the  lead female role. Fans and crities a like  all gushed about how natural and impressive Sarah's acting is. The movie become the ticket for Sarah is winning  box office queen title  for 2003 by the prestigious Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Award the movie was shown in theater for weeks and immediately catapulted to #3 highest grossing movie in the Philippines of all-time. Following the heels of the movie's success, the sequel "You Changed My life"(2009) was released and became the #1 highest grossing movie in the Philippines of all-time. On tv, Ans-cbn's variety show ASAP (all-star sunday afternoon party) welcomed her with open arms in 2004, and Sarah has since then been dazzling audiences young and old, she always brings somethings new to the table, that the show gave her own segment " The Other Side of Sarah", which was later renamed to " Sarah  On Stage". On Asap, She also shows capacity in carrying out spiels, most likely honed when she did hosting  jobs for Search For A Star A Million, Little Big Star  and The Little Big Super Star. And onstage,where her initially recognized, Sarah has filled up venue both in her native home land and abroad. Her first concert at the Aliw Theater entitled "Popstar: A Dream Come True" (2003) gave her the first taste of a standing ovation by an entire group. The warm reception of the fans boosted, Viva concerts confidence that she can fill up The Dome. And they were not mistaken her first concert at the Araneta Coliseum, entitled " The Other Side Of Sarah Geronimo (2005), was a sold out concert, Sarah's supporters stayed until the end of their concert despite the fact that The Dome  became  one huge oven when the Air conditioning  units failed to function, a young yet energetic Sarah performed like there'a no tomorrow, much to the delight of the fans who seemed to have forgotten about the technical problem. That was the first time she  filled the big dome to the rafters the second time was prowess in singing and dancing. Her latest concert is "Sarah Geronimo: The Next One"(2008), and the sold out concert at the Big Dome, where she first played an instrument (a piano) as accompaniment. All 3 of her Araneta Coliseum sold out concerts were brought on tour to other countries around the world. She has wowed both filipinos and foreigners a like and her sold out tours speaks for themselves  that Sarah. Indeed has arrived to date, Sarah is one of the most sought after endorsers of products, services government offices and public servants wanting to run for office she conquered the different  media for ADS: TV,Radio,Print,Billboards. Because of this, she is also dubbed as the biggest multimedia  superstars,transcending different media to reach the general public with over go awards an recognitions to date, and thousands of screaming fans, Sarah is considered a phenomenon in the industry one may say that Sarah is very lucky. She is indeed but it was not all luck. There were tears and trials and heartaches and rejections. She has to make sacrifies as simple as not eating ICE Cream or Chocolates to preserve he role, to something as complicate as having to take home study and miss regular classes and everything that goes with it was her determination to move on, to never back down, that helped her get to where she is now her deeply. Rooted values gave her the strength to stay on top of the game most importantly, no matter. How high Sarah scars, her feet remains planted on the ground  always grateful to the lord, always  bringing him glory in everything that she goes.
